Gyeonggi-do will provide practical cooking skills training for restaurant owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
On May 21, Gyeonggi-do announced that it will expand the "Practical Cooking Skills Transfer Course for Food Service Managers," organized by the Gyeonggi Southern and Northern Chapters of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, to the northern region of Gyeonggi this year. The number of participants will also increase from 120 to 170.
The training will take place at the cooking practice facilities of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Gyeonggi Southern Chapter in Suwon and Kyungmin University in Uijeongbu. Experts will teach Korean, Western, and Japanese cooking techniques, as well as know-how in restaurant management.
The first session begins on May 21, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for each session. Depending on your area of residence, you can apply or make inquiries through the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Gyeonggi Southern Chapter (031-246-6060) or the Gyeonggi Northern Chapter (031-895-5944).
Won Gongshik, Director of Food Safety at Gyeonggi-do, said, "Although the barriers to entry in the restaurant industry are low, the closure rate is high, so thorough preparation and ongoing innovation are essential. We will continue to operate relevant training programs to provide practical support to self-employed restaurant owners."
