Jusu Kim, Seonggun County Governor (center), held a progress review meeting with related officials in the county office's large conference room on the 15th to check the status of the integrated medical and care support project ahead of its nationwide expansion scheduled for March 2026.
The meeting was attended by County Governor Jusu Kim, as well as officials from the Integrated Care Division, Social Security Division, Public Health Center, and the National Health Insurance Service Uiseong Branch.
The participants conducted a thorough review of the overall progress and nationwide expansion preparations, focusing on the status of pilot project applications, the actual provision of services, user satisfaction, and major implementation issues.
Since July 2023, Uiseong County has been the only region in North Gyeongsang Province to operate a pilot project for integrated medical and care support, working to establish the service system, promote the project to residents, and select implementing agencies.
The integrated medical and care support project aims to help elderly residents live healthy and independent lives in their familiar communities by providing linked services in healthcare, nursing care, daily living support, and housing.
Jusu Kim, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "Considering the characteristics of rural areas with a high proportion of elderly residents, establishing an integrated care system is a very important task," adding, "Uiseong County will strive to become a leading model and do its utmost to establish a sustainable integrated medical and care service."
