Gwangju Veterans Office Serves as One-Day Teacher for Elementary Students at "Neulbom School"

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, Kim Seokgi, the head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office, served as a one-day teacher for first and second graders at Hanam Elementary School in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, conducting a patriotism class as part of the "Neulbom School" program. The Gwangju Regional Veterans Office announced on the 20th that, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, Kim Seokgi, the head of the office, served as a one-day teacher for first and second graders at Hanam Elementary School in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, conducting a patriotism class as part of the "Neulbom School" program.

On this day, the class was held for children of Koryoin descent living in Gwangju Koryoin Village and multicultural students. The interactive session included learning about the Taegeukgi (the national flag of Korea), singing the national anthem, and presenting their future dreams. Bobo, the mascot of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, assisted with the class, which concluded with students receiving "Patriotism Keeper" gold badge stickers.

Kim Seokgi, head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office, stated, "In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, we will continue to support field-oriented educational activities so that children from diverse cultural backgrounds, including descendants of Koryoin, can experience the meaning of patriotism."
