On May 20, the Gyeongsangnam-do Chamber of Commerce Association announced key tasks aimed at resolving major economic issues in the Gyeongnam region ahead of the 21st presidential election, and delivered these to major political parties.
The Gyeongsangnam-do Chamber of Commerce Association delivered a proposal for presidential election pledges to the People Power Party.
The proposed pledges consist of a total of 16 items across three areas: national balanced development, revitalization of the Gyeongnam economy, and the establishment of transportation and logistics infrastructure.
Choi Jaeho, chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Chamber of Commerce Association, stated, "The 16 proposed tasks are core issues for securing growth engines for the Gyeongnam economy and narrowing the gap with the Seoul metropolitan area." He added, "We will continue to engage in discussions so that these can be reflected in each presidential candidate's national policy pledges, enabling Gyeongnam to become a central axis of balanced development."
