Iksan City introduced its "Korean Medicine Infertility Support Project," which has been promoted since 2013. By enacting a related ordinance in 2018, Iksan City established an institutional foundation for the project. Currently, 20 Korean medicine clinics in the region are participating, providing specialized Korean medicine treatments such as herbal medicine, moxibustion, and acupuncture to couples struggling with infertility.
Iksan City provided a detailed explanation of the project’s status and notable achievements, and shared real-life cases of successful infertility treatments, vividly demonstrating the effectiveness of Korean medicine.
Furthermore, Iksan City shared the progress and actual cases of the "Long-term Care Home Medical Pilot Project," which is being actively promoted, as well as changes in the project from 2024 to 2025. Constructive opinions were exchanged on how to further invigorate and improve the operation of these projects within the local community.
An official from the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development stated, "We plan to lead the nationwide expansion of the Korean Medicine Infertility Support Project by identifying outstanding models and strengthening the foundation of the project."
