On May 20, at the keynote speech of 'Computex 2025' held at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan, Foxconn Chairman Young-way Liu stated, "The strategic capacity of the AI data center we are jointly building with Nvidia in Taiwan will reach 100MW." He added, "I met CEO Jensen Huang a year ago, and we have been discussing how to build an AI factory. Now, as a result, the AI data center is becoming a reality."

The data center will be constructed in phases. First, a 20MW-class infrastructure will be built, followed by an additional 40MW. The remaining expansion phases will be determined based on the status of Taiwan's power infrastructure, according to Chairman Young-way Liu. The AI data center will be located at Foxconn's Kaohsiung smart manufacturing campus and will include functions such as manufacturing automation, data processing, and supercomputing for AI training.

On this day, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made a surprise appearance on Chairman Liu's keynote stage, drawing significant attention. CEO Huang stated, "Taiwan has been an important partner for Nvidia over the past 30 years and is the hub of computing, equipped with supply chains, technology, and an ecosystem." He continued, "Through the AI factory, we will elevate Taiwan's leadership to a global level." Nvidia's AI factory will include servers based on the latest Blackwell GPU infrastructure, as well as digital twins based on robotics and Omniverse.

In addition to driving manufacturing innovation in the AI industry, Foxconn has also obtained the status of NCP (NVIDIA Cloud Partner) through its collaboration with Nvidia. Chairman Liu emphasized, "Foxconn is now evolving beyond a simple manufacturer into a technology platform company," and stated, "We will expand our influence within the AI ecosystem."
