Lee Chanhee previously met with Jay Y. Lee in November last year for a discussion. This meeting was disclosed to the public through the '2024 Annual Report' recently released by the committee. Lee Chanhee said, "The committee also believes that it is better for Samsung to maintain greater political independence and focus solely on management, in order to break away from the suffering caused by unwanted relationships with the political sphere in the past." He continued, "We agreed that the best way to achieve this is by adhering to the principles of compliance management. Communication will continue as needed in the future."

Regarding Jeon Younghyun, head of the Device Solutions (DS) division and vice chairman, who marks his first anniversary in office on the 21st, Lee Chanhee commented, "I am not aware of the specific details, but I understand that he is doing his best," and added, "Since results do not appear in a short period of time, I always hope for good outcomes, such as technological advancement."

Lee Chanhee also addressed his visit to Samsung Electronics' Eastern European business sites in February to inspect compliance management practices. He said, "The working environment in Eastern Europe is not particularly favorable," and added, "Nevertheless, I observed that a large number of foreign workers are employed there, and their human rights are protected by a very robust system. I also offered words of encouragement for their hard work." He reflected, "It was a valuable opportunity to recognize the dedication and commitment to compliance management of overseas employees working at international sites, where there is a diversity of ethnicities and races, unlike in Korea."
