The 21st Korea Youth Expo
Opening in Andong on May 22
The 21st Korea Youth Expo, co-hosted by Andong City, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, will be held over three days from May 22 to May 24 at the Andong International Convention Center and its surrounding area.
Under the theme "Korean Youth: Embracing History, Opening the Future," this expo is a large-scale event focused on youth career exploration and future industry experiences, with participation from young people and citizens from across the country.
A total of 217 experience booths will be set up, offering a wide range of programs from cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and the metaverse, to cultural experiences like woodblock printing and traditional crafts. The booths are organized into six themes: creative arts, career exploration, mental health, digital competency, Andong Nuri, and the Love for Country Square.
In addition, for three consecutive days, special lectures will be delivered by mentors from various fields, including content creator Kim Sojeong, medical doctor and science communicator Lee Sunho, and comedian Park Saemi, providing opportunities for direct interaction with the youth.
Other related events will also take place, including a youth activity program competition, a national youth grand debate, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Youth Festival, and a national youth hip-hop dance contest.
An official from Andong City stated, "The Youth Expo will serve as a platform for young people to design their own futures and discover diverse possibilities in life," adding, "We will also strengthen the foundation for youth support in the region."
