Yangsan City in Gyeongnam will host the 2nd Presidential National Park Golf Tournament, a festival for park golfers from across the country, at Hwangsan Park Golf Course (an official course) in Yangsan from May 23 to 24.

Hosted by the Korea Park Golf Association and jointly organized by the Yangsan City Sports Council, the Gyeongnam Park Golf Association, and the Yangsan Park Golf Association, this tournament is the most prestigious park golf event in Korea. A total of 699 players who advanced through regional qualifiers nationwide, along with 301 tournament officials and staff, will participate.

For this event, Yangsan City has thoroughly prepared Hwangsan Park Golf Course by maintaining all 36 holes, installing additional dust removers and guide signs, and repainting the management road lanes in Hwangsan Park. These efforts aim to welcome participants and tourists from all over the country and to promote Hwangsan Park Golf Course.

In addition, the city has taken steps to ensure that visiting teams experience no inconvenience by conducting hygiene inspections at accommodation facilities and stabilizing lodging fees. These measures are intended to create a positive image of the city and encourage repeat visits.

Notably, the city plans to operate an event experience zone for citizens, in addition to hosting the national tournament. There will be booths for park golf putting experiences, screen park golf, and a hole-in-one event, making park golf more accessible and enjoyable. Free photo booths for "Life Four Cuts" portraits, a flea market in cooperation with local mom cafes, and food trucks will also be available, turning the event into a festival that offers attractions and entertainment for citizens of all ages.

Earlier this year, Yangsan City has been making every effort to establish itself as the home of K-Park Golf by creating eco-friendly park golf courses and developing a management and operation manual to promote the spirit of the sport. The city provides free essential park golf education classes to promote proper manners and prevent accidents, and has installed park golf rule boards at six local park golf courses.

Mayor Na Dongyeon said, "I hope this tournament will further establish Yangsan as the home of K-Park Golf," adding, "I wish all participants the best in showcasing their skills, and I hope you will visit the beautiful Hwangsan Park Golf Course again in the future."
