Kwon Sungdong: "Lee Jaemyung, Beyond Agitation to Delusions of Grandeur... Absurd Line of Reasoning"

"Lee's Way of Thinking Is Filled with Delusions and Suspicions Detached from Common Sense"
"The Right Choice for the Future of South Korea Is Clear"

Kwon Sungdong, Floor Leader of the People Power Party, strongly criticized remarks made by Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, during his election campaign.

On May 20, Kwon listed Lee's statements on Facebook and commented, "At this point, it goes beyond mere agitation and amounts to delusions of grandeur."

The remarks by Lee that Kwon referred to include: "North Korea cut off bridges and roads at the armistice line and built barriers. That is why I was convinced the Yoon Sukyeol administration would declare martial law"; "Life must be tough, but maybe they built tank barriers out of fear that tanks from the South would push up"; and "North Korea has been provoked for a long time, but it seems they noticed and endured well."

Kwon stated, "The claim that 'North Korea figured out the intentions of the President of South Korea by watching its actions' is a nonsensical line of reasoning that defies common sense." He added, "They reportedly installed bulletproof glass at the campaign site at the cost of tens of millions of won in taxpayer money, and indeed, Lee Jaemyung's way of thinking is filled with delusions and suspicions that are completely detached from common sense."

He also criticized Lee's security perspective, saying it is astonishing to defend the Kim Jongun regime's clear illegal provocations by stating that "North Korea endured well." He remarked, "In terms of capability as commander-in-chief, it's a zero." He went on to emphasize, "Will it be the Korea-US alliance candidate Kim Moonsu, or the pro-North, pro-China candidate Lee Jaemyung? The right choice for the future of South Korea is clear."

Meanwhile, the previous day on Facebook, Kwon posted about his party's presidential candidate Kim Moonsu, saying, "To be honest, I didn't know him well before," and added, "The more you get to know him, the more you realize he is a truly decent and outstanding person, and I am confident that our people will soon come to know this as well."
