Venture Investment Strategies in One Place... Jungnang District to Hold 'Jungnang Companion Startup Fund Briefing Session'

Jungnang District (District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi) will hold the 'Jungnang Companion Startup Fund Briefing Session' on June 19 in the Planning Situation Room on the 4th floor of Jungnang District Office.

The 'Jungnang Companion Startup Fund' was established to invest in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with growth potential, revitalize the local economy, and create quality jobs. The fund was formed in December 2024.

This briefing session is hosted by Jungnang District and sponsored by T Investment Co., Ltd., the fund’s management company. It has been organized to coincide with the full-scale operation of the 'T8 Technology Innovation Partnership' (total commitment of 42.5 billion won), with the aim of discovering promising technology-based companies and expanding their opportunities to attract investment.

In particular, this briefing session goes beyond simply providing information. The session and individual investment consultations will be operated separately to respond more precisely to the interests and needs of each company.

The event will be held in two parts. In the first part, Lim Hyungyu, Head of Investment Division 1, and Choi Jisoo, Head of Investment Division 2 at T Investment Co., Ltd., the venture capital firm managing the Jungnang Companion Startup Fund, will explain the fund’s management direction, as well as the investment criteria and procedures of venture capital (VC).

In the second part, individual investment consultations will be held for six companies selected through prior application and screening. Companies are selected through a preliminary review by T Investment Co., Ltd. based on their own investor relations (IR) materials. The consultations will be conducted twice, with three companies participating in each session. This is expected to provide a real opportunity to increase the likelihood of attracting investment.

Applications for investment consultations will be accepted from May 19 to 30. Participating companies must submit a company overview and investor relations (IR) materials online. The submitted materials will be reviewed to select companies for the consultations, and the results will be individually notified on June 13. It is helpful for selection to submit materials that clearly demonstrate the company’s core technology and competitiveness.

Applications to participate in the briefing session (Part 1) will be accepted online from June 2 to 13, on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 80 companies. Companies wishing to participate in both the briefing session and investment consultations must apply for each separately. Detailed information and applications are available on the dedicated website or via QR code.

The district plans to use this briefing session to promote investment attraction for local technology-based companies and further vitalize the startup ecosystem.

Jungnang District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi said, "I hope that many companies will gain opportunities for growth and invigorate the local economy through the Jungnang Companion Startup Fund," adding, "We will continue to provide full support for fostering SMEs and building a foundation for technology startups."
