On May 18 (local time), he secured a commanding five-shot victory at the 2025 season's second major, the PGA Championship, held at Quail Hollow Club (par 71, 7,626 yards) in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This marks his second win of the year and the 15th of his career, following his victory at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson on May 5, where he tied the PGA Tour's 72-hole scoring record in front of his hometown fans. It is also his third career major title, having previously won twice at the Masters in 2022 and 2023.

Scheffler used a different club setup than at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson. He removed the Srixon ZU85 3-iron he had used at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson and added a TaylorMade Qi35 7-wood (21 degrees) for the PGA Championship. This decision was made in consideration of the challenging conditions at Quail Hollow Club, where the rough is long and difficult. He chose the fairway wood to achieve greater distance and a higher ball trajectory.

According to TaylorMade, Scheffler hit the ball 245 yards using his secret weapon, the TaylorMade Qi35 7-wood. The launch angle was recorded at 14.9 degrees. During the tournament, Scheffler posted a fairway hit rate of 62.50% and a greens-in-regulation rate of 65.28%, completing a flawless victory. In a post-win interview, Scheffler commented, "It is always difficult to compete in a major tournament," and added, "I faced challenges on the front nine today, but I was able to win thanks to a strong performance on the back nine."
