Sejong City announced that it will accept applications for participation in the 'Elementary, Middle, and High School Cybersecurity Festival,' which will be held for local youth in June, from May 19 to May 31.
This event is a youth information security camp hosted and organized by Sejong City, with support from the Sejong City Office of Education.
The camp will take place every Saturday in the city hall's main conference room, with a total of 100 students from local elementary, middle, and high schools: 40 high school students on June 14, 30 middle school students on June 21, and 30 elementary school students on June 28.
During the camp, the city will introduce cases of information leakage and security breaches (hacking) to help students easily understand the importance of information security.
Practical cybersecurity programs have also been prepared, including how to use generative artificial intelligence (AI) and hands-on exercises in web attack and defense.
In addition, for students considering related career paths, a step-by-step roadmap for becoming an information security expert will be provided in detail.
In particular, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their information security capabilities through close guidance from expert instructors, including former white hat hackers who have won awards at domestic and international cybersecurity competitions and graduates of the next-generation security leader training program (BoB).
All students who complete the camp will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Mayor of Sejong.
