Promoting Substantial Scholarship Support for Discovering and Nurturing Local Talent
Selecting Outstanding Students in Various Fields Including Culture and Arts, Sports, and Science
On May 19, BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) announced the launch of its application process for the ‘BNK Exciting Dream Tree Growth Scholarship’ program, aimed at discovering and nurturing talented young individuals in the local community.
The ‘BNK Exciting Dream Tree Growth Scholarship’ is a customized scholarship program designed to support local prodigies in the fields of culture and arts, sports, and science, who face difficulties receiving systematic education due to economic circumstances. The program seeks to identify these talented students at an early stage and help them pursue their dreams for the future.
Scholarship recipients will be selected in three categories: culture and arts, sports, and science. The selection process will focus on outstanding students from first grade in elementary school to second grade in middle school in the Busan area, who have been recommended by the ChildFund Korea. These students will undergo a fair evaluation process before the final selection.
Selected scholarship recipients will receive up to 10 million KRW per year in scholarship funds. The support will continue annually, taking into account each recipient's achievements in their respective fields, until they graduate from university.
The application period for the scholarship runs from May 19 to June 5. Further details can be found on the announcements section of the BNK Financial Group Hope Sharing Foundation website.
Bin Daein, Chairman of BNK Financial Group, stated, “We have launched this scholarship program to provide meaningful support so that outstanding children in our region can pursue their dreams without being limited by financial constraints. We will continue to work together with the local community to ensure that children can grow up healthy and realize their dreams for the future through warm and ongoing support.”
Since 2007, BNK Financial Group has provided over 8,000 students with more than 8 billion KRW in scholarships, mainly through the ‘BNK Happiness Scholarship’. The group also continues its sustainable social contribution activities with the local community through various youth-oriented programs, such as ‘Da-nanum Day’ for financial education for multicultural youth, the ‘Dream-Filling Career Camp’ for career exploration, and the ‘Financial Golden Bell’ quiz competition.
