KFME Delivers Wildfire Recovery Donation to North Gyeongsang Provincial Government

KFME Supports Wildfire Recovery in Yeongnam Region

The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises (KFME) announced on the 16th that it visited the North Gyeongsang Provincial Government to deliver a wildfire relief donation for the recovery from wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.

The donation ceremony was attended by President Song Chiyoung and the executive board, Lee Sangyun, head of the KFME North Gyeongsang branch, local branch heads, and Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province.

To support the recovery from wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region caused by fires in March, KFME collected donations from its member business associations and regional federations, raising 38 million won, which was delivered through the North Gyeongsang Community Chest of Korea.

President Song stated, "Even though small business owners across the country are struggling due to the economic downturn, they have come together to support wildfire recovery. I hope that the sincerity of small business owners will be warmly conveyed to the residents of the affected areas and help with the recovery efforts."

Governor Lee expressed his gratitude for KFME's donation and responded, "The North Gyeongsang Provincial Government is considering developing the affected areas into tourist destinations. We will also do our utmost to support small business owners, including establishing a Small Business Policy Division within the provincial government."
