The members of Ablum (Aran, Saena, and Sio) stated, "We want to communicate with K-pop fans around the world and deliver new value in Korean music on the global stage," and added, "With Ablum's unique creativity and passion, we will grow into artists who represent K-pop in the global market, including North America."
This dinner brought together key figures from Korea and abroad, including former members of the U.S. Congress, and is expected to serve as a practical stepping stone for Ablum's entry into the North American market.
FMC is a private diplomatic organization composed of former U.S. federal lawmakers, senior aides, and lawyers, playing a central role in global networking and cooperation. At this event, Ablum interacted directly with various global leaders, raising their profile as K-pop artists.
In particular, Kim Changjoon, Chairman of the Korea-US Institute and a pioneer in Korea-US private diplomacy (former U.S. House Representative), attended the event and promised advice and support for Ablum's entry into North America. Kim Changjoon was recently appointed as an outside director at NSNEM and is expected to provide practical assistance to help Ablum establish a successful presence in the North American market.
Also in attendance were former U.S. House Representatives John Sarbanes, John Katko, Vicky Hartzler, Kwanza Hall, and Brenda Lawrence, as well as Lee Sungbae, former MBC announcer and spokesperson for People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo, along with other key figures from various fields, lending support to Ablum's global journey.
Recently, Ablum secured a global fandom upon debut by ranking high on major overseas music charts such as the iTunes K-pop chart and Amazon Music with their first single "Echo." They topped the iTunes K-pop chart in 11 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, and entered the top ranks in 10 countries including Brazil, demonstrating their influence in the global market.
Going forward, Ablum plans to actively engage in various activities, network strategies, and innovative projects to enhance the global competitiveness of K-content. Taking this dinner as an opportunity, they pledged to expand their global network and pursue growth on the world stage based on creativity and innovation.
Lee Wonpil, Chairman of NSNEM, stated, "It was a valuable opportunity for Ablum to communicate directly with leaders from around the world and take a step forward as global artists," and added, "We will spare no effort in supporting them so that they can continue to challenge and innovate, and become a girl group representing global K-pop."
