Kiwoom Securities announced on May 16 that it has officially launched its generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based 'AI Coding Assistant'.
This service is an AI-based coding support tool designed to help users utilize the 'Kiwoom REST API', which was introduced by Kiwoom Securities in March, more easily and efficiently.
The AI Coding Assistant was developed by combining a generative AI model with Kiwoom Securities' Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology.
With simple natural language queries, users can instantly receive practical code that can be used with the Kiwoom REST API. Depending on the question, the assistant generates various code examples in real time, such as stock orders, market price inquiries, and balance checks.
In addition, it recommends API call items and, if necessary, provides documentation information including the request method and input parameters for the relevant API.
The AI Coding Assistant offers responses in various programming languages, including Python and Java. Like ChatGPT, it does not require separate installation and can be used after applying for API access on the Kiwoom REST API website.
A representative from Kiwoom Securities stated, "The AI Coding Assistant significantly lowers the technical barrier to entry for the Kiwoom REST API, providing an environment where individual investors can easily implement automated trading." The representative added, "We believe it will offer practical assistance to customers who wish to put their own investment strategy ideas into practice."
