Entry into Nationwide Public Distribution Network...
Industrialization of the Mud Industry and Expansion of Distribution Platforms Expected
Boryeong Mud Cosmetics, the leading K-beauty brand from Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, has been selected for the "2024 Win-Win Growth Mall Selection Project" organized by the Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Agency under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and has officially launched on the welfare-exclusive shopping platform, Win-Win Growth Mall.
As a result, Boryeong Mud Cosmetics will begin expanding its distribution network in earnest through welfare malls operated by public institutions and large corporations nationwide.
According to Boryeong City on May 16, Boryeong Mud Cosmetics is a functional cosmetics brand developed using high-quality mud harvested from the coastal waters of Boryeong as its core ingredient, and is known for its outstanding skin purifying and soothing effects.
The entry into the Win-Win Growth Mall is drawing attention as it marks the first case of a K-beauty brand based on regional specialty resources entering a nationwide public distribution network, going beyond simple distribution expansion.
Together Local Co., Ltd., which manufactures and distributes Boryeong Mud Cosmetics, has further strengthened its brand presence through this launch.
Hong Hyoeun, CEO, stated, "Our entry into the Win-Win Growth Mall serves as a bridgehead for Boryeong Mud Cosmetics to expand into the national market and marks a full-fledged leap as a regional specialty brand within K-beauty. Based on close cooperation with Boryeong City, we will build a sustainable distribution network and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
Boryeong City is fostering Boryeong Mud Cosmetics as a core brand for the local industry.
Mayor Kim Dongil commented, "The entry of Boryeong Mud Cosmetics into the Win-Win Growth Mall is a highly meaningful achievement in terms of the industrialization of the mud industry and the expansion of distribution platforms. We will continue to develop cosmetics, goods, and experiential products utilizing mud, and create a differentiated K-beauty ecosystem linked to the marine and tourism industries."
Meanwhile, the Win-Win Growth Mall is a welfare shopping platform where employees of large corporations and public institutions can purchase quality products from small and medium-sized enterprises using welfare points and credit cards, thereby supporting the entry of SME products into the public market.
