Visiting Tax Offices to Inspect Comprehensive Income Tax Progress and Encourage Staff
Extension of Tax Deadlines for Special Disaster Areas and On-Site Communication with Vulnerable Groups

Kwangjong Park, Commissioner of the Gwangju Regional Tax Office, has been implementing tax administration that reaches into the lives of citizens by consecutively meeting with local tax offices, small business owners, and self-employed individuals.
On May 14, Park visited the Gwangju Tax Office, and on May 15, he visited the Jeongeup Tax Office to inspect the progress of the "2024 Comprehensive Income Tax Final Return and Regular Application for Tax Credits."
Commissioner Park personally toured the tax filing counters, listened to visitors to identify any difficulties or inconveniences they faced during the filing and application process, and encouraged the staff.
In particular, Commissioner Park announced that the payment deadlines for victims and bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, taxpayers in special disaster areas, and exporting small and medium-sized enterprises would be automatically extended until September 1. He also stated that even taxpayers who are not subject to automatic extension but are experiencing business difficulties and apply for an extension will be actively supported.

Prior to this, on May 12, Commissioner Park visited the Goryoin Village in Wolgok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, and on May 14, he visited the Chungjang-ro Merchants Association in Dong-gu, Gwangju, continuing his direct on-site communication with vulnerable and marginalized neighbors, as well as small business owners and self-employed individuals.
