"Today, I Am Also a Writer"... Mudeung Library Offers Writing Workshop Mudeung Library Writing Workshop Poster.

On May 15, Mudeung Library, operated by Gwangju City, announced that it will offer a writing workshop for adults titled "My Story, My Book," where participants can write their own stories and publish their own books.


This workshop is designed to systematically cover the entire process from writing to publishing. The classes will be held every Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., for a total of 10 sessions, from June 13 to August 22.


Kim Jeongbae, a professor in the Department of Creative Writing at Wonkwang University, will lead the theory and practice of writing autobiographies, guiding participants in their writing. Yang Jiaeh, head of Pajongmojong Independent Publishing, will give lectures on the publishing and production process. Participants will write about their own lives and publish a compilation book featuring their stories.


Registration for the workshop opens at 10 a.m. on May 16 and can be completed on the Gwangju City Library website under "Cultural Events - Cultural Class Registration." Any citizen interested in writing may apply. The workshop is limited to 15 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis. For more details, contact Mudeung Library.


Song Kyunghee, director of the city library, said, "This program not only provides an opportunity for citizens to record their lives in writing, but will also serve as a chance to enhance their democratic communication skills and cultural sensitivity," adding, "I hope citizens will discover the joy of writing in everyday life and naturally participate in a culture of reading."
