Seo Choon Gye, Chairman of Yangsan Branch of Korea Senior Citizens Association, Joins 'Traveling Around Every Corner of Gyeongnam' Campaign

Seo Choon Gye, chairman of the Yangsan branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, visited Tongdosa Temple on May 13 and actively promoted the charm of the 'Traveling Around Every Corner of Gyeongnam' challenge by participating in the event.

This campaign began in April with the participation of Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, and the baton was passed to Seo Choon Gye through Na Dongyeon, Mayor of Yangsan, the chairman of the city council, and the head of the cultural center. Chairman Seo continued the momentum of the challenge by designating the head of the Yangsan Forestry Cooperative and the head of the Yangsan branch of the National Health Insurance Service as the next participants.

Chairman Seo highlighted the tranquil Mupunghansong-gil at Tongdosa Temple and said, "Tongdosa is a place where beautiful nature and history come together. I hope that, with the arrival of the '2026 Visit Yangsan Year,' many people will visit, find healing, and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."

Tongdosa Temple is a historic temple founded by Buddhist monk Jajang during the Silla Dynasty. It is home to national treasures such as the Daeungjeon Hall and the Geumgang Gyedan, and it has been designated as 'Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea,' a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As a place where visitors can appreciate both historical value and beautiful natural scenery, Tongdosa Temple is expected to attract even more tourists with the arrival of the '2026 Visit Yangsan Year.'
