Yoon Yeojoon, Standing Chief Election Committee Director, stated at the inauguration ceremony held at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building on this day, “There is an urgent need for politics that changes people’s lives,” and added, “I will also lend my support so that real estate and housing welfare policies are well established and can become key national agenda items for the new administration.”
Hwang Hee, Chair of the Housing Welfare Committee, said, “We have no choice but to implement regulations for the sake of ordinary people. Since the government has consistently addressed issues only through financial and tax policies, there have been difficulties,” and continued, “I believe it is now time to fully implement land policies.” He added, “The typical housing type in Korea is the so-called apartment, and reconstruction is beginning for those built 30 years ago. This is not simply a matter of rebuilding houses, but rather a scale of remaking cities.”
The Housing Welfare Committee was formed to propose housing welfare and real estate policies that can help create a residential environment where citizens can live with peace of mind.
