Targeting Approximately 900 Adults Aged 19 and Older
Jeongeup City Public Health Center in North Jeolla Province announced on May 14 that it will conduct the '2025 Community Health Survey' from May 16 to July 31.
This health survey will target approximately 900 adults aged 19 and older who have been selected as sample households.
The Community Health Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey conducted annually across the country under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, in accordance with Article 4 of the Regional Public Health Act.
This survey collects and analyzes important information on citizens' health status, health behaviors, and medical service utilization. The results provide a rational basis for establishing and evaluating public health projects tailored to local conditions.
In other words, it is an essential survey that is widely used for developing various programs to improve public health.
The survey consists of 169 questions across a total of 19 areas, including: ▲health behaviors (smoking, drinking, exercise and physical activity, diet, etc.), ▲chronic disease incidence (such as hypertension and diabetes), ▲accident and addiction experiences, and ▲activity limitations and quality of life.
The collected survey results will be analyzed and officially announced by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency around December 2025.
The survey will be conducted by professional surveyors who have completed specialized training in advance. These surveyors will visit the selected households in person using a statistical sampling method.
The visiting surveyors will conduct one-on-one interviews with participants using an electronic questionnaire installed on a tablet PC.
An official from the public health center stated, "All data collected through this survey serve as very important indicators for establishing and evaluating health policies tailored to local needs," and added, "All personal information collected in the survey is strictly protected under the Statistics Act, so we earnestly ask that residents selected as survey participants actively cooperate when a surveyor visits."
