Yangsan City to Hold 30th Environment Day Commemorative Event

Yangsan City, Gyeongnam will host a commemorative event for the 30th Environment Day on June 5 at the Yangsan City Hall Plaza and Business Center Convention Hall under the theme "Carbon ZERO Together." The event aims to promote a culture of environmental action and raise citizen participation and awareness of environmental issues.

This year's Environment Day celebration will include a commemorative ceremony and a special lecture by author Song Kilyoung, who will provide insights into life and the environment in the era of carbon neutrality. The lecture will be held at the Convention Hall on the 5th floor of the Business Center.

A large-scale environmental experience zone will be set up at the Cultural and Arts Center Plaza inside Yangsan City Hall, offering a variety of games and hands-on activities. The event is designed to help everyone from children to families easily understand environmental issues, making it a perfect destination for family outings. Participation is free and open to all citizens.

The commemorative ceremony, which begins at 2:00 p.m. on June 5, will open with a performance by the Yangsan City Youth Choir. The program will include a commemorative address, awards for individuals who have contributed to environmental conservation, and a citizen participation performance under the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution." The special lecture will be available to the first 500 people who register online in advance.
