BNK Busan Bank Opens Foreign Customer Specialized Branch at Gimhae Financial Center

Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced that it will open a new branch specialized for foreign customers at the 'Gimhae Financial Center' located in Buwon-dong, Gimhae, in order to enhance financial accessibility and convenience for foreign customers in the Gimhae area.

The 'Gimhae Financial Center' has been transformed into a flagship branch of Busan Bank in the Gimhae region, equipped with a variety of financial services exclusively for foreigners, reflecting the area's high proportion of foreign workers and residents.

The newly established branch for foreign customers offers a wide range of services, including: ▲ a dedicated counter for foreign customers ▲ a digital desk capable of real-time interpretation and translation in seven languages ▲ an AI translation system supporting 17 languages ▲ tablet PCs exclusively for foreign customers ▲ and the deployment of foreign customer supporters.

In particular, the digital desk is a system that connects customers to professional consultants via video calls, enabling real-time interpretation. This allows foreign customers to easily handle standard banking tasks such as opening accounts, applying for new cards, and registering for electronic banking, at a level comparable to regular counters.

Additionally, the AI translation system, which supports 17 languages and provides interpretation in a chat format between customers and staff, as well as the deployment of supporters tailored for foreign customers, have further improved the convenience of customer service.

Kim Yongkyu, Head of Busan Bank's Management Strategy Group, stated, "We will continue to expand various financial services so that foreign customers can use Busan Bank more easily and conveniently," and added, "Starting with the Gimhae Financial Center, we will further strengthen the operation of branches tailored to the needs of local foreign customers."

The 'BNK Welcome Global Event' for newly registered foreign customers is being held until the end of May 2025.
