Lee Gilyeo, President of Gachon University, who is now 93 years old, recently appeared in a school promotional video looking healthy, drawing attention online. Despite being over ninety, her thick hair and smooth skin led internet users to marvel, jokingly asking if she might be a "vampire."
Recently, a promotional video was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of Gachon University. What stood out was the appearance of President Lee, who turned 93 this year. In the video, she is seen sitting upright with perfect posture as she introduces the university.
In the video, President Lee stated, "The era of artificial intelligence (AI) and platforms in which we will live is characterized by the absence of thresholds and fences. Outstanding students and leading companies will choose platform universities that are full of opportunities," adding, "Gachon University will become the best platform university among them." The video also showed her sitting across from students, smiling and conversing with them. Her thick hair, smooth skin, and clear, energetic eyes attracted attention.
Internet users who saw President Lee commented with enthusiasm, saying things like "She really is a vampire," "She's 93? Born in 1932, President Lee graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1957 and opened Lee Gilyeo Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic in Incheon in 1958. In 1978, she became the first female doctor in Korea to establish a medical corporation, founding Incheon Gil Hospital. Currently, she leads the Gachon Gil Foundation, the largest public interest foundation in Korea, which encompasses the fields of healthcare, education, culture, volunteer work, and media.
President Lee is especially known for looking much younger than her age. Through various interviews, she has shared her secrets to maintaining her youth. She says she drinks plenty of water and avoids spicy and salty foods. She also does not drink alcohol or smoke and tries not to get stressed. In addition, she maintains a regular lifestyle, including doing plenty of stretching every morning.
