Park Jiwon, Chairman of Doosan Enerbility, met with Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic, in Prague, taking the opportunity of officially sponsoring a local music festival. As Doosan Enerbility is currently participating in the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic together with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, there is growing interest in the company's exchanges with key Czech government officials and the outcomes of these interactions.

On May 14, Doosan Enerbility announced that it had officially sponsored the Prague Spring International Music Festival, one of Europe's leading classical music festivals. Chairman Park Jiwon, along with Vice Chairman Chung Yeonin, Nuclear BG Head Kim Jongdoo, and Doosan Bobcat Vice Chairman Scott Park, attended the event to build networks with major figures on site.

On May 12 (local time), Chairman Park Jiwon met and had a conversation with President Petr Pavel at a reception held before the opening performance of the festival at Smetana Hall. A Doosan Enerbility official stated, "We decided to sponsor the Prague Spring not only to promote business cooperation but also to establish ourselves as a true partner who respects Czech traditions and culture," and added, "We hope that this sponsorship will help Doosan take another step forward as a trusted company within the Czech community."

Doosan Enerbility is participating in the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic as part of "Team Korea" together with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. Doosan Enerbility plans to supply major nuclear power plant equipment such as reactors and steam generators, while the production of steam turbines and other components will be handled by Doosan Skoda Power, a local Czech subsidiary.

The Prague Spring is a prominent local music festival that began in 1946 to commemorate the first anniversary of the end of World War II, and this year marks its 80th edition. Renowned figures in classical music such as conductor Leonard Bernstein, Herbert von Karajan, pianist Arthur Rubinstein, and tenor Luciano Pavarotti have participated in the festival. Pianist Cho Seongjin performed at the festival twice, once in 2016, the year after he won the International Chopin Piano Competition, and again in 2024. The festival opens on May 12, the anniversary of the death of Bedrich Smetana, known as the "national composer" of the Czech Republic, with a performance of his representative symphonic suite "Ma Vlast." This year's festival runs until June 3 across Prague, with President Petr Pavel and numerous key figures from the government and business community in attendance.
