Mayor Jang Inhong Accelerates Systematic Implementation of 8th-Term Guro District Pledge Projects

Guro District (headed by Mayor Jang Inhong) is holding a review meeting on the mayor’s pledges for the 8th popularly elected administration at the district office’s Renaissance Hall from May 12 to May 15, to examine the progress and plans for 100 projects across seven key sectors.

This review meeting is an important occasion to establish a systematic foundation for the implementation of the 8th administration’s pledges, with Mayor Jang Inhong, the deputy mayor, and directors and heads of relevant departments in attendance.

The meeting is organized into seven sectors: regional development, education, ecological environment, livelihood economy, public-private cooperation, welfare, and culture and sports.

For each of the 100 projects managed by 27 departments, the department heads will directly present the project objectives and specific plans, as well as report on strategies for securing the necessary budget and manpower for implementation.

The district plans to focus on enhancing the feasibility of execution by discussing not only the viability of each project but also potential issues and corresponding countermeasures during the implementation process at this meeting.

The review meeting began with the regional development sector on May 12 and will continue through May 15, taking place daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On the first day, May 12, departments under the Planning and Economy Bureau, Housing Policy Bureau, Safety and Transportation Bureau, and Construction Policy Bureau reported on 25 regional development projects. The sectors of education, ecological environment, livelihood economy, welfare, public-private cooperation, and culture and sports will follow in sequence.

The number of projects under review by sector is as follows: regional development (25), education (13), ecological environment (19), livelihood economy (9), public-private cooperation (9), welfare (13), and culture and sports (12).

Based on the results of this review meeting, the district plans to revise and supplement the pledge implementation plan in June and establish the final implementation plan in July.

Mayor Jang Inhong stated, "Fulfilling our pledges is a promise to the residents that must be kept," and added, "Through this review meeting, we will solidify the foundation for project implementation and achieve results that residents can truly feel."
