Lowcarbon is a promising startup that recently secured a clean hydrogen production site in Florida, USA, and completed the first phase of factory permits. The company, which has been in business for nine years, employs around 130 staff members.

The agreement, signed on May 13, aims to support Lowcarbon in establishing a stable presence within the district and, through this, contribute to the local community by creating jobs for district residents in the future. Under the agreement, the district plans to provide comprehensive support, including assistance with recruitment through the job center, administrative support for the commercialization and utilization of technology, and the creation of infrastructure to foster corporate growth.

Lowcarbon has pledged to open a branch or an affiliated office within Dongjak District upon the company’s listing, prioritize the hiring of Dongjak residents, promote community reinvestment projects, and actively consider relocating its headquarters to the district in the future.

The district intends to use this agreement as a turning point to establish a cooperative framework with a high-growth-potential startup, aiming for the joint development of the local economy and future industries.

Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak District, said, "It is very meaningful to collaborate with Lowcarbon, a company growing based on eco-friendly technology," adding, "We will continue to foster a sustainable local economic ecosystem by attracting promising companies and providing tailored support."
