On May 13, VT announced that it recorded consolidated sales of 100.4 billion KRW and operating profit of 29 billion KRW for the first quarter of this year. On a separate basis (cosmetics business), sales reached 89.2 billion KRW and operating profit was 26.2 billion KRW.
Compared to the same period last year, consolidated sales decreased by 1%, while consolidated operating profit increased by 21%. This was due to the exclusion of Cube Entertainment's results from the consolidated figures and the inclusion of ENC in the consolidated group. On a separate basis, sales increased by 37% and operating profit rose by 23%.
VT is expanding its VT SOLUTION line by launching new secondary lines such as 'Black Truffle Riddleshot' and 'CICA Mask Cleanser' through Amazon US.
The company plans to strengthen its position as a global brand by increasing the proportion of its business in global markets, including China, North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, beyond its existing key markets of Korea and Japan. VT will also focus on developing locally tailored products and enhancing marketing efforts in these regions.
A VT representative stated, "We believe that increased brand awareness in global markets and the continued sales performance of Riddleshot have contributed to our improved results," adding, "We plan to further diversify our sales by expanding into global markets through the launch of various new products."
The representative also added, "With the slogan 'We pursue principles that apply to everyone,' we will continue our efforts to become a comprehensive beauty company."
