DS Dansuk Signs Pretreated Raw Material Supply Contract with Asian SAF Company

Global resource circulation leader DS Dansuk announced that it has signed a supply contract worth approximately 1.4 billion KRW for pretreated raw materials (UCO) to be used in a production facility with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons, which will be operated by an Asian sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) company starting next month.

Under the terms of the contract, the SAF pretreated raw materials to be supplied represent the initial transaction, with the shipment scheduled for late May. The sale will be conducted through a Japanese trading company. This is the first time that a Japanese refiner will commercially use overseas-sourced UCO.

DS Dansuk has established a foothold for expanding its business into the global aviation fuel market, which is expected to reach about 30 trillion KRW by 2027.

A DS Dansuk representative stated, "Collected UCO cannot be directly used in SAF facilities, so DS Dansuk plans to pretreat and enhance the quality of the raw materials before supplying them. After the initial shipment at the end of May, we will establish quality results and domestic logistics processes, aiming to enable regular supply starting in July."
