On May 13, the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Wooheon, hereafter referred to as Gyeongbuk Sarangui-Yeolmae) announced that the Korea Institute of Registered Architects (President Kim Jaerok) had donated 200 million won to support the recovery efforts for wildfire damage in the Gyeongbuk region. The donation ceremony, held on May 9 at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Office, was attended by Kim Jaerok, President of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects, Song Donghun, President of the Gyeongbuk Society of Architects, Son Byungil, Secretary General of Gyeongbuk Sarangui-Yeolmae, and Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province.


This donation was voluntarily raised by 17 city and provincial architectural societies, including the Korea Institute of Registered Architects and the Gyeongbuk Society of Architects. It will be used for emergency recovery activities, such as supporting housing and livelihoods for wildfire victims. Kim Jaerok, President of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects, stated, "I came here today with fellow architect members to share our hearts, as my hometown Gyeongbuk suffered great damage due to wildfires," and added, "I hope this donation can provide at least some comfort to the victims facing difficult circumstances."

On May 12, the Agency for Defense Development (ADD, Director Lee Geonwan) donated 10 million won to Gyeongbuk Sarangui-Yeolmae at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Office to support wildfire victims in Gyeongbuk. This wildfire donation was raised through voluntary participation by ADD employees, including monthly voluntary fundraising activities within the organization. Director Lee Geonwan said, "We are delivering this donation with the hope of comforting those who have suffered from the wildfires," and added, "I hope that, including this donation, helping hands from across the country will reach the affected residents."

Meanwhile, on the same day, May 12, the Seoul Cyber University Student Council (President Lee Youngwoo) and the university donated 10 million won to the Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheolsu) to support recovery efforts and assist wildfire victims in the affected areas. Lee Youngwoo, President of the Student Council, said, "I hope this donation will help even one more person find a warm home," and added, "This meaningful donation was made possible by the active participation and promotion efforts of the 48 department presidents, 18 regional chapter presidents, and the student council executive board, bringing together the hearts of both students and the school."
