Execution of 62.1 Billion Won, Surpassing 112% of the Ministry’s Target Amount
On May 13, the city of Gyeryong in South Chungcheong Province announced that it had been selected as an outstanding institution in the "2025 First Quarter Proactive Execution Final Evaluation" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing an incentive of 40 million won in special grants.
In order to revitalize the stagnant local economy, the city executed 62.1 billion won in the first quarter of 2025 in the field of proactive and rapid execution, exceeding the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's target amount by 112%.
In particular, in areas that have a direct impact on the local economy, such as consumption and investment, the city achieved notable results by executing 38.2 billion won, which is 129% of the target amount.
This achievement was made possible by comprehensive efforts, including intensive management of large-scale investment projects, support for resolving difficulties in underperforming projects through departmental performance reporting meetings, and the operation of a constant monitoring system by the "Local Finance Proactive Execution Task Force" led by the Deputy Mayor.
Mayor Lee Eungwoo stated, "Thanks to the proactive efforts and cooperation of all employees during these challenging times of economic downturn, we were able to achieve these positive results," and added, "We will continue to make active fiscal efforts in the second half of this year to help the local economy recover."
