According to the education sector on May 12, the Gangseo Yangcheon District Office of Education under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education decided on the student's forced transfer at the Teacher Rights Protection Committee and notified both the student and the teacher on May 9.

In addition, the student and their parents were required to complete special education and undergo psychological counseling.

The district office provided on-site group psychological counseling for teachers at the school and plans to offer individual psychological counseling for the victimized teacher.

On April 10, at a high school in Yangcheon-gu, a third-year student struck a teacher in the face with a hand holding a mobile phone during class.

It was reported that the student resorted to violence during a scuffle after the teacher pointed out that the student was playing games on their phone during class. The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education immediately separated the student and the teacher and launched an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, disciplinary measures for students who violate teachers' educational activities consist of seven levels: 1) school service, 2) community service, 3) completion of special education and psychological counseling, 4) suspension from attendance, 5) class reassignment, 6) transfer to another school, and 7) expulsion. Forced transfer corresponds to the sixth level, which is considered a severe disciplinary action.
