Democratic Party Haenam-Wando-Jindo Campaign Committee Appeals for Overwhelming Support for Lee Jae Myung

Targeting Voters with Region-Focused Relay Campaigns

The Democratic Party's Jeonnam Provincial Haenam-Wando-Jindo Election Countermeasures Committee held a kickoff rally on the first day of official campaigning for the June 3 presidential election, appealing for overwhelming support for candidate Lee Jae Myung.


On this day, the Haenam-Wando-Jindo Election Committee held the kickoff rally at 2:00 p.m. at the intersection in front of the Jungang Market in Wando-eup, and conducted intensive campaign activities at locations such as Jungang Market and in front of Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.

More than 100 people attended the event, including Kim Yang Hoon, Chief Executive Campaign Chair, Lee Cheol and Shin Eui Jun, members of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, local county councilors, party members, and supporters. They kicked off the campaign by chanting, "Now, the real Republic of Korea begins."


Kim Yang Hoon, the campaign chair, emphasized, "This presidential election is not simply about changing the government, but about choosing to move from a nation of despair to a nation of hope. Let the wind of victory that began in Wando spread across the country, and together with Lee Jae Myung, let us open a bright future for Korea."


Lee Cheol, co-campaign chair, encouraged voter participation by stating, "We must elect Lee Jae Myung as the new president to unite the people and completely eradicate the forces of rebellion. The candidate who can create new hope is Lee Jae Myung."


Shin Eui Jun, another co-campaign chair, also appealed for support, saying, "Lee Jae Myung is the candidate who will guarantee the basic lives of all citizens by realizing a basic society where everyone's fundamental life is protected."


Starting from the first day of official campaigning, the Democratic Party's campaign committee plans to continue relay campaign events throughout the Haenam, Wando, and Jindo regions to win over voters.


Meanwhile, a total of seven candidates have registered for the 21st presidential election, which will be held on June 3. According to the National Election Commission's election statistics system, the registered candidates are: No. 1 Lee Jae Myung (Democratic Party, 60), No. 2 Kim Moon Soo (People Power Party, 73), No. 4 Lee Jun Seok (Reform New Party, 40), No. 5 Kwon Young Guk (Democratic Labor Party, 61), No. 6 Gu Ju Wa (Liberty Unification Party, 45), No. 7 Hwang Kyo Ahn (Independent, 68), and No. 8 Song Jin Ho (Independent, 57).
