This agreement is a follow-up measure pursued after Governor Kim Taeheum met with the executive members of the World Korean Women’s Associations Presidents Council in March. The main purpose is to strengthen the capabilities of women’s organizations in the province and to promote solidarity among Korean women at home and abroad through the revitalization of international exchanges in areas such as the economy and culture.

The signing ceremony was attended by Governor Kim, Jo Gyuja, President of the World Korean Women’s Associations Presidents Council, and around 20 other officials. The event included an explanation of the main contents of the agreement, signing and exchanging of the agreement, and a discussion session.

In particular, the World Korean Women’s Associations Presidents Council plans to contribute to the luxury landscaping project at Hongye Park by donating trees, provide scholarships for nurturing local talent, and actively participate in various exchange events for international cultural exchange.

Governor Kim stated, "Let us work together to successfully hold the World Korean Women’s Presidents Conference scheduled for October and to cooperate in various fields such as international cultural exchange and scholarship programs." He added, "Chungnam will take the lead in empowering women so that women can become the driving force of the economy and so that Korea can once again make a new leap forward."
