On May 12, Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jung Chulwon) announced that it had operated the "Pregnant Women’s Health Class with Family" for registered pregnant women and their families in the area over a 2-day, 1-night schedule from May 9 to 10.
This program was held at the Mudeungsan Ecological Exploration Center to support the emotional stability and physical health of pregnant women and their families, as well as to help foster attachment with their unborn children. It was designed to relieve mental and physical fatigue through a variety of hands-on activities that pregnant women and their families could participate in together, while also enhancing prenatal education for the fetus and increasing family closeness.
Participants created special memories through a range of activities, including eco-trekking at the Lake Ecological Park, "Making Our Child’s Mug Cup," "Healing Yoga for Pregnant Women with Singing Bowls," "Making Name Plates for Unborn Babies," and "Eco-Friendly Meal Experience."
Governor Jung Chulwon stated, "I hope this health class has provided pregnant women and their families with an opportunity to restore both body and mind," and added, "We will continue to work to overcome low birth rates through a variety of policies, including pre-birth health checkups, maternal and newborn health management, childbirth incentives, and early-life health management programs."
