Police Deny Knowledge of Alleged Informant in Lee Jae Myung's Security Team

On May 12, the police stated that they had "no knowledge whatsoever" regarding the Democratic Party's claim that there is an informant within the security team attempting to assassinate presidential candidate Lee Jae Myung.

A police official told Asia Economy during a phone call that there had been "no such request" from the Democratic Party regarding identity verification.

The Dong-A Ilbo reported that the Democratic Party had received a tip-off about an informant within Lee's security team and subsequently reviewed all resumes.
