Yeongju City Conducts Citizen Survey on Integrated Seonbi Culture Brand... 'Strengthening Local Cultural Tourism Identity'

Award-Winning Entries Revealed
On-Site Survey to Be Held at City Hall and Yeongju Station from May 12 to 18

Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province is seeking public input to develop an integrated brand for its representative Seonbi culture tourist destinations.

The Yeongju Culture and Tourism Foundation will conduct a citizen preference survey on the integrated name and character design for 'Seonbisesang, Seonbichon, and Korea Seonbi Culture Training Center' from May 12 to 18 at the Yeongju City Hall General Civil Service Office and the Yeongju Station Travel Lounge.

This survey is part of the final brand selection process, following a prior contest. Through the contest, which ran until April 25, the foundation selected three candidates for the integrated name category: ▲'Yeongju SeonbiONnuri' ▲'Seonbi Culture Theme Park' ▲'Korea Seonbi Culture Nuri.'

According to the foundation, the name evaluation focused on appropriateness, creativity, and promotional value. After review by the judging panel, these entries were chosen as the winners.

For the integrated character design category, three entries that combine Yeongju's Seonbi spirit with a modern sensibility were selected. The winning entries are: ▲'Chamseonbi Guardian' ▲'Sagunjja Friends' ▲the group of characters 'Andoryeong, Yeongdoryeong, Seondoryeong, Bidoryeong, Judoryeong.'

The citizen preference survey will be held at the Yeongju City Hall General Civil Service Office from May 12 to 14, and at the Yeongju Station Travel Lounge from May 15 to 18. All Yeongju citizens are welcome to participate freely.

A foundation official stated, "We will actively reflect citizens' opinions to establish an integrated brand for Yeongju's representative cultural assets and strengthen the identity and competitiveness of the region's cultural tourism resources."

Lee Jaehoon, acting chairman of the foundation, said, "We hope that the excellent ideas generated through this contest will become a brand that resonates with citizens," adding, "We encourage many citizens to show interest and participate."
