Korea Exchange Chairman Jung Eunbo Departs for London Office Opening Ceremony

The Korea Exchange announced that Chairman Jung Eunbo departed on the 12th to attend the opening ceremony of the London office and participate in the 'Dubai Fintech Summit 2025'.

As part of its strategy to enhance the global standing of the Korean stock market and strengthen marketing to attract foreign investment, the Exchange will establish a local office in London, a global financial hub, and hold the opening ceremony for the London office on the 15th. The London office plans to actively promote and engage in networking activities with global financial institutions based in the UK and Europe, including investment banks (IBs), asset management companies, pension funds, and index providers.

Chairman Jung stated, "It is especially meaningful that, 69 years after the opening of the Korean stock market in 1956 and 33 years after the market was opened to foreign investors in 1992, we are now directly entering London, a global financial hub." He added, "Through the London office, we will focus on communicating directly with overseas investors and increasing trust in our market."

The Exchange also plans to establish a new office in New York in the second half of this year, thereby securing marketing bases in the four major global regions of Asia, China, Europe, and North America.

In addition, Chairman Jung will attend the Dubai Fintech Summit 2025 from the 12th to the 13th, and plans to strengthen the foundation for cooperation in the Middle East, an emerging global financial hub, including a one-on-one meeting with Hamed Ali, CEO of the Dubai Exchange.

In particular, on the 13th, Chairman Jung will participate in a panel discussion titled "Future Prospects of the IPO Market," where he will introduce the Korea Exchange's efforts to attract and activate listings of innovative companies, aiming to raise interest in the Korean IPO market among global investors and entrepreneurs.
