Three Million Roses in Full Bloom at the Rose Garden
Festival Treats Including Afternoon Tea Set
Everland is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Rose Festival with an emotionally themed event under a new concept.
Everland, operated by the Resort Division of Samsung C&T, will hold a newly themed rose festival called 'Rose Garden Royal High Tea (ROROTI)' from May 16 to June 15. Marking its 40th year, this year's Rose Festival will feature a fusion of roses, art, and tea culture, creating a multi-cultural content experience.
During the festival, a total of 3 million roses from 720 varieties, including Everland's own domestically developed garden rose 'Everose,' will fill the Rose Garden. The signature variety, 'Perfume Everscape,' has previously won the top Gold Prize at an international rose contest.
To enhance the festival's storytelling, Everland will introduce a fantasy universe centered on its mascot character 'Dona D. Rosie,' featuring flamingos, butterflies, keys, and more. Four themed gardens within the Rose Garden will offer a variety of interactive experiences, including augmented reality (AR), a mirror room, and kinetic art installations.
Collaborations with renowned artists such as Daria Song, Gappao, and Buwon are also drawing attention. On the second floor of the Rose Garden, visitors can enjoy Daria Song's drawings, a photo zone, and a goods showroom, while the exterior of the Rose Castle will be decorated with her illustrations. Buwon's three-dimensional artworks and Gappao's large fennec fox sculpture will also serve as photo spots.
During the festival, visitors can enjoy an afternoon tea set at the nearby restaurant 'Cucina Mario.' The set includes a two-tiered plate with nine desserts, Fortnum & Mason tea, and Royal Copenhagen tea ware, along with signature menu items such as Roseberry Iced Tea and Heart Churros.
A wide range of merchandise is also available. Everland has launched over 70 types of 'ROROTI' goods, including fennec fox plush toys, character key holders, socks, umbrellas, and glass cups.
