The signing ceremony, held at the corporation's headquarters in Beomcheon-dong, was attended by representatives and officials from both organizations.

This agreement was promoted as a practical collaboration to encourage the safe use of elevators in urban railways and systematically cultivate specialized personnel for the related industry, based on Korea Elevator University's specialized educational infrastructure and research and development capabilities.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will jointly pursue collaborative projects such as: holding elevator safety campaigns for urban railway users; technical cooperation to prevent elevator accidents and ensure safety within stations; educational and research exchanges and joint R&D initiatives; cooperation in developing and participating in university curricula; and carrying out technical services related to elevators.

In addition, Busan Transportation Corporation and Korea Elevator University plan to establish a working-level consultative body to concretize and effectively implement various detailed collaborations, including campaigns, development of educational content, technical exchanges, and identification of research projects.

Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "Urban railways are a core means of transportation that connect citizens' daily lives, and elevators within stations are especially important facilities that determine the convenience of movement for all users, including those with limited mobility. Through this agreement, we will further enhance the safety and accessibility of elevator facilities and, based on technological cooperation, provide citizens with a safer and more pleasant urban railway environment."
