The Gwangju Bukgu Council announced on the 11th that it recently conducted capacity-building training for its council members ahead of the 2025 administrative affairs audit.
This training was organized as a preparatory measure to enhance the professionalism and effectiveness of the audit. The lecture was delivered by Professor Park Soonjong from the Graduate School of Public Policy at Hanyang University. Professor Park provided a practical lecture focusing on the purpose and procedures of administrative affairs audits, effective questioning techniques, and exemplary cases from other local councils.
In particular, the training included analysis of real-life cases to share potential issues and response strategies that may arise during the audit process, and a Q&A session was held to help council members improve their practical skills.
Choi Moosong, Chairperson of the Bukgu Council, stated, "The administrative affairs audit plays a crucial role in monitoring the executive branch on behalf of the residents," adding, "I expect that this training will further strengthen the expertise and analytical skills of our council members, leading to more substantial audits."
