"We must contribute to the national economy by establishing a virtuous cycle in the industrial ecosystem and creating jobs, based on the wisdom and capabilities of our members."
Cho Hyunbeom, Chairman of HankookandCompany Group, emphasized this point at the group's 84th anniversary ceremony held on May 10. Chairman Cho added, "We must overcome internal and external crises through proactive innovation and create a new order ourselves."
On this day, in celebration of its 84th anniversary, HankookandCompany Group awarded a total of 2,709 employees, including those with long-term service and outstanding performance. In the 'Excellence Awards' category, 228 employees were recognized for their bold challenges and creative innovations that contributed to the company's achievements. Additionally, 2,469 employees who made long-term contributions to the company's development received the Long-Term Service Award, and 12 employees who worked towards sound labor-management relations were honored with the Labor-Management Harmony Award.
Chairman Cho highlighted the group's growth story, stating, "HankookandCompany Group started as a small tire company in 1941, and has now grown into a global high-technology group with about 50,000 employees."
He further emphasized, "By acquiring Halla Climate Control, we have completed a future core portfolio spanning tires, batteries, and thermal management, and secured a global mobility value chain. Now, as uncertainty grows, is the optimal time to lead change. Let us return the results of the new order we create to society and our members."
