Cho Seungrae, head of public relations for the Central Election Campaign Committee, met with reporters at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and said, "As threats of terror against our candidate continue to grow, we have established a counter-terrorism response team led by Kim Minseok, the standing election committee chairman."
Cho stated, "From our perspective, we cannot simply dismiss these threats as insignificant," and added, "There have actually been such movements, and since our candidate was indeed attacked, we will thoroughly prepare for these possibilities."
Cho also said, "The first official campaign rally will be held at Gwanghwamun Square," explaining, "We believe this presidential election marks the beginning of overcoming insurrection and setting the Republic of Korea on a path of recovery and growth."
