The "2025 Pocheon Hantan River Spring Garden Festa," hosted by Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province, spectacularly opened on the 10th at the outdoor stage of the Pocheon Hantan River Ecological Landscape Complex.

The festival will run for 44 days until June 15, and is expected to establish itself as the largest ecological landscape festival in the metropolitan area.
The opening ceremony began with a prelude performance by the Pocheon Children's Choir, followed by an official declaration by Pocheon Mayor Baek Younghyeon. The ceremony featured a colorful fireworks display, officially announcing the start of the region's premier ecological landscape festival. Afterwards, congratulatory performances by singers La Classe, Kyungseo, and Park Gun received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Baek Younghyeon said, "Thanks to the interest and support of citizens and tourists, we are able to hold the Garden Festa twice a year, in spring and autumn. I hope that through this festival, where Pocheon's nature and gardens are harmoniously blended, you will experience the beauty and ecological value of the region."

This year's Garden Festa features a large spring flower garden built on a lava plateau of approximately 260,000 square meters (about 100,000 pyeong), as well as a variety of programs such as electric bicycle experiences, a playground for companion dogs, food booths, and street cultural performances, attracting many family visitors.
In particular, the Y-shaped suspension bridge connecting Jung-ri in Gwanin-myeon and Daehwaesan-ri in Yeongbuk-myeon is 410 meters long, making it the longest of its kind in Korea. It has also been recognized for its technical safety, having been selected in the structural innovation category by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).

The admission fee is 6,000 won, with 50% refunded as Pocheon Love Gift Certificates. In addition, Pocheon citizens, seniors aged 65 and over, people with disabilities, national merit recipients, and preschool children are eligible for free admission, ensuring high accessibility for citizens.
Pocheon City plans to use this Spring Garden Festa to widely promote the region's natural ecology and cultural tourism resources, and to further solidify its status as a sustainable tourist city.
