The Graduate School of Tourism at Sejong University announced on May 10 that it held a performance exchange meeting and an on-site exploration program of the Osaka Expo in Osaka, Japan, from April 17 to 20.
Approximately 50 participants attended the program, including students majoring in exhibition and convention-related fields, faculty members, and domestic and international exhibition industry professionals. The 'Korea-Japan Exhibition and Tourism Industry Performance Exchange Meeting and the First Anniversary Symposium of the Tourism Management Program' was held at the Ibaraki Campus of Ritsumeikan University.
Participants toured the Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC) and visited the Osaka-Kansai Expo, where they experienced firsthand the composition and operation of exhibition content at large-scale international events.
A Sejong University representative stated, "This field trip was organized around real-world examples, such as exhibition systems incorporating smart technologies, strategies for eco-friendly exhibition spaces, and the design of country-specific storytelling content, providing practical insights for domestic exhibition planners and educators."
