Operates for Seven Months Starting in June
Monthly Creative Grant of 1.5 Million Won Provided
Sangmyung University is accepting applications for mentees to participate in the "Elite Webtoon Creator Training Program" until May 16.
This program is a webtoon talent development initiative supported by the Korea Creative Content Agency and operated by Sangmyung University. Its purpose is to select aspiring and emerging webtoon creators residing outside the Seoul metropolitan area and provide them with one-on-one mentoring and practical, hands-on training.
Each participant will receive a monthly creative grant of 1.5 million won (up to a maximum of 10.5 million won over seven months). The program offers a practical curriculum that includes mentoring by a team of webtoon producers, active creators, and industry experts, as well as foundational education, pitching shows, and serial publication matching presentations. Additional support is provided to help participants secure serialization opportunities on webtoon platforms.
Eligible applicants are individuals aged 19 or older residing outside the Seoul metropolitan area. This includes aspiring creators, recent university graduates, emerging creators with less than three years of experience, and established creators preparing new works.
