Gathering Diverse Opinions from County Residents
Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting members for the '3rd County Resident Communication Innovation Promotion Team' until May 16.

The county has been operating the promotion team with the goal of providing a platform for residents to directly participate in and voice their opinions on county affairs, thereby enhancing policy acceptance and execution, and building a more democratic and transparent administration.
Through the operation of the 1st and 2nd teams, a total of 114 policy suggestions and proposals have been identified so far, with about 70 of these opinions currently being implemented.
The 3rd Promotion Team, which is being recruited this time, will focus on incorporating diverse and creative opinions from local residents into county government and on discovering practical, resident-centered policies that can be felt in daily life. During their term, team members will have opportunities for substantive participation in county governance through regular meetings, discussion sessions, and on-site feedback activities.
Any Sunchang County resident interested in the development of the county is eligible to apply. The county hopes to see participation from residents with interest and expertise in various fields such as agriculture, culture, welfare, and environment.
Applicants can download the application form from the county website and submit it to the County Planning and Budget Office or to the administrative welfare centers in each town or township. The application form requires details such as motivation for applying, areas of interest, and major career experience. Based on this information, the county will consider both diversity and expertise in team composition to select the final members. For more information, contact the Planning Team at the County Planning and Budget Office.
County Governor Choi Youngil stated, "The participation of each and every resident is the driving force that transforms Sunchang," and added, "Through the active participation of promotion team members with diverse perspectives and opinions, we will realize a more transparent and open administration and work together to create policies that truly improve the lives of our residents."
