In order to establish an organic cooperative system to revitalize the environmental industry in the Busan area and address local environmental issues, the Busan Green Environment Support Center, the Buwoolgyeong Branch of the Korean Society of Water and Wastewater, the Buwoolgyeong Branch of the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers, the Buwoolgyeong Branch of the Membrane Society of Korea, and the Buwoolgyeong Branch of the Korean Society of Waste Management and Resource Circulation have come together in agreement.
This agreement ceremony was organized as part of a joint effort for sustainable environmental development in the region. Its main contents include the training of environmental professionals, the discovery of research projects specialized for the region, the sharing of environmental information, and the development of joint programs.
Lee Taeyun, head of the center and dean of the College of Environmental and Marine Sciences at National Pukyong University, stated, "This agreement is not merely a declaration; we will strive to ensure that it leads to practical cooperation and tangible results in solving environmental problems in the Busan region. We will continue to contribute to the development of the environmental industry through close cooperation among institutions."
The representatives of each institution who participated in the agreement ceremony expressed their intention to take the lead in solving local environmental issues through various joint projects and research collaborations in the future. This agreement is expected to serve as an opportunity for each institution to build partnerships based on mutual trust and communication.
Through this agreement, joint education programs, workshops, and networking events related to the environment in the Busan area are planned for the future, and efforts to expand connections with various local stakeholders will continue.
